Sherree Valentine-Daines has been described as ‘the face of modern British impressionism’ and ‘the finest figurative artist we have here in the UK’ (Art of England). Her exquisite artwork transports us into a world of light and beauty and demonstrates why she was officially voted the UK’s leading impressionist artist.
Sherree has been drawing and painting the female figure all her life, and both running and attending life drawing classes. She says:
“For any figurative artist, life studies – the painting of a human figure from observation of a live model - are an integral part of the artistic process.”

ORIGINAL PAINTINGS
Sherree’s painterly, impressionistic style matched with such beguiling subject matter renders each individual image timeless. Her penchant for concentrating on the light and shading within a scene took her down the route of impressionism, and the influence of artists such as Renoir and Degas can be seen not only in her style but in their shared subject matter.
