Judith Bridgland’s bold expressive work confronts the drama and emotion of the natural world and amplifies all that is beautiful in it.
Born in Australia, Judith has lived in Scotland since 1965 and now describes herself as a Scottish painter. Judith has won a variety of awards including the MacRoberts Open Prize and the Glasgow Art Club Award from the Paisley Art Institute. As one of the country’s most celebrated landscape artists she has held successful solo shows around the world for many years and undertaken commissions for prestigious clients including international banks, universities and private collectors. Her most recent projects include a two-person show with Roseanne Barr in 2020 and a video installation at the 2019 Venice Biennale.
